My Favorite Etsy Artists

I’ve been itching to make a few design changes in my home because in my rooms are never finished; they’re always evolving. When I was working on my dining room a few years ago, I wanted to incorporate family photos in the space; I’m not one for having family photos everywhere in my home, I’m more of a frame here and there type of girl. I hung a grid gallery wall of black and white family photos and loved it, I still love them but as I mentioned craving change sparked me to move the family photos into my bare hallway and add an extra row of frames that need new family pictures. Here's a glimpse of my hallway, I'm so happy I moved the family photos into my hallway. Right now the photos are in black and white, but that may change! In case your curious the the All A Flutter artwork above my sofa is also getting replaced, I love this artwork the butterfly's and gold just shine when the sunlight hits the piece and its a huge framed canvas. However, I'm ready for a change and plan on selling the artwork, send me a message if your interested *UPDATE: Artwork found a new Home with a Lovely Reader*

Now my dining room wall is bare, and it feels like we just moved in! I’ve been going back and forth with the idea of either a large framed abstract on the wall or gallery wall filled with artwork in an array of styles. I’m totally in love with either look. One of my favorite sources of artwork in my home is Etsy.

Etsy has been my go-to source for all things vintage, handmade, artwork, paper goods and much more. My favorite thing to do is search Etsy for new artwork to fill my home. One of the reasons I love shopping Etsy for artwork is the vast selection, and affordability and ease (hello instant download, you rock!) The ability to buy a large piece file of artwork and have it printed locally without breaking the bank  is awesome + you're buying something that’s not mass produced. Today I’m sharing my favorite Etsy artists, love them all!

I hope you enjoyed my roundup of my favorite Etsy artists, as you can see each of artists work is so interesting and different its making it super hard for me to decide if I want one large framed print or a gallery wall in my dining room. I don't have much 'wall restate' in my small dining room so its important to me that whatever way I go the artwork has impact and looks amazing in my dining room. Layered Rug Look

Last Fall, I replaced the grey and white dhurrie in our living room with a natural Jute Rug. I was craving a light feel in our living room, plus since the rug was grey, it felt like grey overload, grey walls, grey sofas and grey rug. I love how the jute rug feels so timeless in our space yet modern.

A year later I still love the Jute rug; with two boys, a husband and a crazy lab puppy its held up really good. We have a few worn spaces on the Jute rug mostly spots that are directly in front of the sofa, not that surprising since its a woven Jute rug style. I've loved the look of layered rugs for quite some time, especially the look of a patterned rug over a Jute. After seeing several pretty living rooms with the jute + patterned rug style I'm inspired to try this look in my living room. Consider me designed obcseed with this look. Below are a few of my favorites.

I love how added a bold patterned rug, or even a neutral rug adds so much vibrancy to a room. One of my biggest design struggles, are rugs! I always flip back and forth between wanting a to with a super neutral rug to layer over our jute or wanting a more colorful bold patterned rug. I love how bold the indigo and red rug looks over the jute rug in the living room below, such a pretty combination. Which is a good reminder for me to remember how much color hardwood floors can handle.

I'm crushing hard on the patterned rug + jute rug pairing! I've been on the hunt for the past several months trying find the perfect vintage style pattern rug to layer over our Jute to binrg in more pattern and texture into my living room. Are you also a fan of the layered rug look? If so what's your favorite combination?
