Best of 2015 & Hello 2016

Hi friends! Happy New Year, its totally ok to say Happy New a couple of weeks in to 2016, right? First I wanna sorry I've been MIA around on my blog, I have been active on Instagram, follow me at @mrsclh to see what I'm up to. I took a little time away from my blog to focus on my family and I've also been hard at work designing my own blog, before the end of the month I'm switching from blogspot to SquareSpace and I'm so freaking excited about the change + can't wait to share with you all the design! Even though we're two weeks into the New Year, let's take a quick look at last year. 2015 was an exciting busy year, two stamps in my passport, became a DIY Influencer for The Home Depot, Transformed a shed into a She Shed Cottage with The Home Depot & Tuff Shed, my DIY BBQ Cart was featured in The Old House Magazine and best of all my family got more settled into our home.

Hello 2016

I have so many long overdue projects that I want to tackle this year, I have four on my list that are my absolute priority. Here are my top for projects: Master Bedroom Refresh, Master Bathroom, Hallway & Linen Closet and lastly but very important finishing up our Laundry Room / Mudroom. These four projects have been on my mind and so exciting to whip out my paint brushes, hunt Craigslist, Hang artwork and most of all transform these areas in our home that are super hardworking into lovely spaces that are Modern + Classic and organized. Getting them organized is super crucial since we're small house dwellers.

In addition to working on these projects in 2016, I'll also be sharing more about how my family lives in our small space and creative design solutions for small space home owners / apartment dwellers along with sharing lots of design inspiration. I'm also doing some more traveling overseas this year and plan incorporating some travel into the blog. I promise my travel posts won't be the boring travel recap lol!

In addition, I'm starting a newsletter in 2016 to share some fun creative & easy DIY Projects, so make sure you sign up for the exclusive content.

What are you plans for 2016?

His & Hers JORD Watches

Now that the weather is finally starting to cool down in Northern California, my husband and I have been enjoying Saturday morning latte dates.

My drink of choice is almost always a latte while he loves to mix it up and try out seasonal drinks. I love kicking the weekend off in a slow manner and just enjoying each others company. In addition to us sharing a love for lattes, we also have a thing for match watches, it just makes us happy. We've both recently fell in love with the wood watches from

JORD. These watches are so pretty, I love the wood grain on each watch which makes each of them unique. When my watch is on my wrist, I can't stop staring at it, it makes the perfect arm candy addition to my wrists. For my wrist, I choose the

Ely in Maple, I love the wood grain complements my skin tone. Whenever, I wear my JORD watch, I always get asked questions about, its so cool to have a wood watch. Hasani, choose the Fieldcrest in Maplefor his wrist.

Snapping pictures for Instagram, because seriously when coffee is good its a must share. Hasani had a Mexican Mocha, which was so good. I seriously had order envy!

I brought my

JORD Watch

with me while

on Holiday

, and left the watch on California time, Hasani set his watch to London time. It was a sweet reminder while we where apart what to be able to look at our wrist and know what time in California or London. It really made the eight hour time difference easier for face-time and calling each other.

Check out the amazing selection of wood watches on the

JORD

website, they have so many to choose from. Hasani and I are, already eyeing our picks for our next his and hers matching watches.
