After successfully running the blog Chic Little House for seven years, in January 2018 Katrina took a leap of faith and relaunched her blog as Katrina Blair, using her namesake first + middle name. Katrina's blog is dedicated to sharing her passion for interior design, musings lifestyle and travel.

Katrina was inspired to blog and share the renovation journey of their small 1956 Rancher House.. Katrina loves filling her home with both new and vintage pieces, On weekends, she can often be found sourcing flea markets, antique stores, and thrift stores in hopes of finding the next vintage piece in need of some love. Katrina's style is California Modern Casual. She considers this a mix of Classic + Modern + Vintage with a relaxed California vibe - which never feels over-stuffy.

In July 2012, her familys home was badly damaged in a house fire that spread from their neighbors home to theirs, displacing her family for a year, losing almost all their belongings, and seeing numerous decorating/DIY projects created over three years lost in flames, With determination, faith and patience, her family took a sour note and turned it around to re-build a home they absolutely love. During the rebuilding of their home, they made several thoughtful improvements to the original layout while maintaining the charm which originally sold them, Among the changes were taking their "just under 1000 sq foot home" and adding additional square feet which included an indoor laundry room, and transforming their small master bedroom into a 'retreat' by adding a walk-in closet, french doors, and a small private terrace.

Since moving back into their beloved 1950's rancher in late 2013, Katrina has been transforming their house into a home. Katrina believes you can create a lovely unique home on a budget which reflects your personality and speaks to you. As the saying goes, your home should rise up to greet you

Katrina's home (both pre and post fire) has been featured in several magazines and newspapers and online publications including: HGTV Magazine, The Old House, Good Housekeeping, The Sacramento Bee Home & Garden (front cover) The Los Angeles Times and Apartment Therapy. Katrina and her husband also made an appearance on The Nate Berkus Show for a House Proud segment sharing her home (pre-fire) with viewers, and creative budget friendly ideas to incorporate into any home..
